He kept a beard of varying lengths, and when he cut the beard it was never short enough to be called shaving. It was trimming, not shaving, but typically it was just growing. We’ll just say he did more growing than trimming. More hours anyway. I guess the average man probably does more growing than shaving. It would probably be a little out of the ordinary to think that anyone could spend more time shaving or trimming than they did growing.
A person would have to pull a daily 12 hour and 1 second shift or a weekly 84 hour and one second shift, or a 336 hour and one second a month shift (depending on the month), but most definitely it would take some form of hours in any order but equal to or greater than 4,368 hours and 1 second of trimming time to achieve more trimming than growing.
So as far as him growing more often than cutting, hew was completely normal. But still he kept a beard of varying lengths and sometimes felt out of place.
