It has finally arrived, Paul Beatty’s new book SLUMBERLAND. Thanks to my lovely wife who pre-ordered it ages ago as a gift to me. I started reading a few pages last night just before bed and as usual Paul Beatty steals my attention and makes me laugh. I am going to try savoring the book, although i know I could read it all the way through in an hour, his novels are few and far between and I really love them. If you have’t read White Boy Shuffle or Tuff, go pick them up and this new one. You will NOT be upset
