Repost this letter about Obama from my Dad to Glen Beck

My dad is former Republican, now registered Independent, after watching Glen Beck on CNN last night he was pretty mad. The following is the letter that he sent to G.B.

A letter from Phil McTee of Ogden Utah, to Glen Beck of CNN:

Glen,

After watching your show last night I was taken back by your willingness to follow suit with the media on the Obama/Reverand Wright jargon. Do you really think that Obama should be judged so hard based on the relationship to his pastor and those associated with Rev. Wright. I believe your comments on Thursday night were very unfair. One only has to look at religion as a whole to know that all religion or churches have some form of racism.

Let’s take a look at your religion. Mormonism teaches that when Cain killed Abel there was a curse put on Cain and his descendants. That curse was BLACK SKIN, and therefor all Africian Americans are cursed for there black skin.
Brigham Young wrote about that curse in a Feb. 5th 1852 speech entitled “slavery, blacks, and the priesthood,” saying that even if anyone has anything to do with blacks they are cursed as well. He also wrote “never in the history of the church are blacks to hold the priesthood and if so the curse will be put on the church”

One might say that Brigham was intitled to his opinion however lets not forget Mormons consider him to be a prophet who speeks for God. Lets look at another comment by Mormon apostle Bruce R McConkie who wrote in his book titled “Mormon doctrine” (Page 527-528 1966 edition ) “Negros are not equeal with other races”

Glen I live in Utah and am not LDS but love the LDS people, they are great neighbors and friends, but at times I hear comments that make me cringe. One of my coworkers has been married in the temple, went on a mission, and teaches sunday school. He always refers to the black race as “niggers” refers to MLK day as Martin Lucifer Koon day and if we kill four more niggers we can have the whole week off.

Should I hold you accountable for his remarks and those of some of your church leaders? Or should I watch your show in order to find out who you are and what you stand for. I would hope you can be fair on this issue.
