Into The Wild

Until last night, It’d been a while since I’ve added a title to my “Favorite-Movies-of-All-Time” list. The film “Into The Wild” is Based off a book of the same title by Jon Krakauer, and was directed by Sean Penn.

This is a film about self discovery, and the appreciation of life. After graduating from college, Chris McCandless decides to leave everything behind including money and bark on an adventure…er…maybe it’s just called living… Losing yourself to find yourself.

“Into The Wild” is one of those movies that when you leave the theater you want to have a long conversation about but your mind can’t make words, so you walk away from the theater in awkward silence, biting you lip until it’s raw.

Seriously, just wait for the old man. Wait for him. When the old man comes you are effed. Let’s see if your tear ducts don’t swell. The old man in this movie deserves an Oscar for the 15 minutes he shares the screen.

Below is the trailer for Into The Wild. I reccomend not reading anything else about the film, just watch the trailer, then watch the movie, then re-watch the trailer. Seriously, after watching the film and re-watching the trailer it’s a whole new movie. I may have to see this one twice.
