still trying to figure out how the machine works. Quick call all the worlds mechanics, this is not a question that can easily be answered by the lady whose voice isn’t even hers by the time it gets to you, which is a separate problem in itself. At the very least we should be sending letters, how did that phase out? Is anything really that urgent that it needs to be answered before a few days? and if it is, is there not anyone else that can help? Our fingertips have learned to be very quick and we can now pause and think of how to say something witty that would never come out of mouths. Is it a closer look at the way we think? and if it is do you want people to know that much? No more newsletters, write a blog. Can’t make a film, make a youtube clip of you pissing on a woman who needs help only to find out that she died possibly around the time you put shaving cream on her and really got the crowd laughing. Goodbye Encyclopedia, hello “WIKI.” Goodbye book, hello podcast. Goodbye prints, hello flickr. Goodbye records and even cds, hello itunes. And here we all sit, using the technology we all know we don’t need. “but it’s so convenient!” By definition I’m a hypocrite for writing any of this. At current I’m writing this blog while I listen to my itunes and instant message with 3 or 4 people and try to figure out how to re-size some images for a website that I work for before checking my email and laughing hysterically at the youtube exclusive R Kelly video “REAL TALK”. I’ve conformed but I’ll write the shit out of a letter and read a book and listen to a record too, so shut up.
